BRIDGEWATER — March 18, 2026 — Bridgewater Planning Board continues 96 Main Street mixed-use hearing to May, citing water study and engineering gaps. The board voted 5-0 on March 18 to push the first public hearing for a proposed 16-unit condominium and three-unit commercial building at 96 Main Street to its May 6 meeting, after town engineer Greg Tansey flagged the need for witnessed test pits and a water impact study — which planning staff said are running roughly two months to complete. Principals Adam and Brian Jaspin of Centerline Development presented the proposal, which includes 47 parking spaces (12 above the required minimum), a structural-engineer-required retaining wall raising the rear lot six to seven feet, and a HardiePlank exterior in arctic white. The board separately accepted without prejudice the withdrawal of Encompass Health's inpatient rehabilitation hospital application at zero Lakeshore Center; Chair Eric Costa called it "a great project" and expressed hope the team would return. Four duplex special permit hearings for Falconary Construction on Oak Street lots were also opened and continued to April 15, with the board pressing the applicant to consider a single condo association governing all eight units rather than four separate one-on-one documents.
