Bridgewater Planning Board Continues All Three Development Hearings to Future Dates

Planning Board · Meeting of March 4, 2026

Bridgewater Planning Board continues three development projects amid water supply pressure. The board, meeting remotely on March 4 with Chair Patrick Driscoll and members Thomas Pratti, Daniel Greenberg, and Alternate Member Kris Fabroski, voted unanimously to push all three pending applications — a six-lot subdivision at 593 Plymouth Street by Barty Investment Group LLC, a proposed inpatient rehabilitation hospital at Zero Lakeshore Center filed by Compass Health under a modified 1988 special permit, and a 27,000-square-foot commercial building at 1010 Elm Street — to either the March 18 or April 15 meeting. Four residents, including Pat Neary of Lakeside Drive and Melissa Remendetta, demanded the board require water impact statements before advancing any large project, citing recent Apex evaluations confirming the town lacks capacity to connect major developments.

Town Planner Shane O'Brien announced a Complete Streets grant of approximately $500,000 for Summer Street and Plymouth Street work and a Green Communities grant of approximately $85,000 largely earmarked for library weatherization.
