Bridgewater Planning Board approves Bedford Street water line extension
Planning Board · Meeting of August 19, 2026
Bridgewater Planning Board clears water line for O'Reilly Auto Parts plaza despite fee dispute. The board voted unanimously to approve a minor site plan modification at 292 Bedford Street, letting SiteTech engineer Steve Gioso's team run a six-inch water main across Bedford Street ahead of future need, over applicant attorney Michael Minow's objection to a $146,256 connection fee due on top of $27,858 already paid. Minow called the town's fee process "arbitrary," saying "you can ask until you're blue in the face." The board also released $85,348.50 of a $93,598.50 Old North Estates road bond, withholding $8,250 for unfinished street tree and hedge plantings, with Chair Patrick Driscoll recusing himself from that vote.
Two other Bedford Street applications were continued to September 2.
