BRIDGEWATER — The Bridgewater Town Council voted to return to executive session over an ongoing inquiry into Town Manager Justin Casanova-Davis, despite one councilor's public objection. Councilor Lindy said she would not support the motion, telling colleagues "I wish that this had been a process that was a little bit more open and public." The council approved its August 18 minutes 9-0 and separately voted unanimously to let non-resident Daniel Gilmette address the board, who paid tribute to his late grandfather, veteran Louis Allman. Business owner Lincoln Andrews alleged councilor conflicts of interest tied to a land negotiation involving an entity named Aquaria and disputed a staff presentation by Helen Gordon on environmental permitting for a 37-acre parcel, saying "What Miss Gordon said was wrong." The executive-session motion, moved by Councilor Kennedy and seconded by Councilor Perry, passed by roll call.
